At mid-line, Mao is in the centre of nine flags (five flags to left, four flags to right). Immediately below Mao is the globe, positioned to show China. Commemorative dates 1921 (to left of globe) and 1969 (to right of globe). Hammer and sickle immediately below globe. (obverse)
