Portrait of Lannelongue, head and shoulders, in profile to left, wearing the Légion d'Honneur and other decorations.

Medicine to right, as a woman wearing a long apron and holding an instrument in her left hand, attends to patients, laying her right hand on the head of a child wrapped in a shawl in its mother's arms, to left, next to a seated workman wearing an apron, his arm in a sling, his hat under the chair; receptacles on a wall shelf to left.
