Description
Rectangular struck bronze medal.
(whole)
A young woman in drapery, her arms bare, in profile to left, seated on a stool with a palette below it, observes a small vase, which she is going to decorate, which she holds up in her left hand, a paintbrush (?) in her right hand; to left a tall stand with a vase of flowers and a pot with implements on top, a large portfolio or album on a lower shelf, and a rolled up sheet below.

Curator's comments
Mazerolle dates the medal 1908, the Catalogue Général dates it 1909. The positions, ie. left and right, of the signatures and some of the design aspects recorded by Mazerolle are in reverse to those on the medal itself. The Catalogue Général erroneously labels the image H rather than G.
