Description
Copper alloy coin with a plain edge; both surfaces very worn.
(whole)
Bust of William III facing to the right, laureated and cuirassed. Laurel wreath with three berries but only seven leaves. Lower loose end of the tie-riband is partly obscured by his hair. Legend inscription along sides. Traces of toothed border just inside outer rim.
Britannia in loose fitting drapery, seated to left on a globe, her right leg draped and drawn slightly back with her left leg crossing in front of it. By her left side is an ornamented oval shield bearing the combined crosses of St. George and St. Andrew, which is placed upright. In her raised right hand she holds a spray of leaves close to her knee. Her left hand clasps a long spear high up near the blade, its butt rests on a single exergue line. Date below it in the exergue. Legend inscription along sides. Traces of toothed border just inside outside rim.
