- Description

Copper alloy coin on a large flan with a plain edge. (whole)
-
Bust of more elderly George II facing to the right, laureated and cuirassed with five plates on the shoulder armour and a larger round boss on the breastplate. Wreath with nine leaves and three berries, tied behind the neck with a riband showing two loose ends. The tie-ribands are longer, broader and crimped. Legend inscription at sides. Toothed border around edge.
-
Britannia with a small incuse coil of hair on the top of her head and different drapery than before, seated to left on a globe, her left leg covered. In her right hand she holds a spray of leaves, which is bushier and appears to consist of thirteen leaves and one berry but does not intrude into the legend; her raised left hand grasps a long spear. By her left hand is an ornamented oval shield bearing the combined crosses of St. George and St. Andrew which are fimbriated. Double exergue line (consisting of a thick line above a thinner and slightly shorter line and the lower line extending to the border on each side) with the date below it. The legend inscription at the sides and top is interupted at the top by the head of Britannia and her spear. All within a broad, outer toothed border just inside the outer rim.
