The French Republic as a young woman, bust three-quarters to front, head in profile to right, wearing a crested and winged helmet decorated with an oak branch over her long hair, a breastplate with a lion's head relief, and drapery over her left shoulder. (obverse)

Blank medallion insert (?) with to left a palm branch and to right a standing winged female figure, in diaphanous drapery, who rests her right arm on its perimeter while holding a laurel branch, her left hand, lowered, holding an oak wreath. (reverse)
