- Brown 1980 states:
The Birmingham Museum has a note with their medal on display saying that the piece was struck in 1828 to commemorate the replica of the Warwick vase by Thomason in that year.
The vase now stands on the steps leading to the east terrace at Windsor Castle; another example stands in front of the Senate House at Cambridge University. The original Warwick Vase, a classical piece, was removed from Warwick Castle and sold in 1979. See also note to Brown 1 p286.1176.
