Jean-Antoine de Baïf, humanist scholar and poet (1532-89). Pupil of Jean Dorat (see registration no. 1925,0310.170), bastard son of the diplomat Lazare de Baïf, friend of Ronsard etc., received a pension from François II, Charles IX and Henri III.
