Description
Alloy coin with a thick plain edge.

Bust of Charles II facing to left, laureate and cuirassed with a concave shoulder line. The hair short, the wreath tied behind the neck with a riband showing two long loose ends. Legend inscription along sides. Toothed border just inside outside rim.

Britannia in loose fitting drapery with part of it hanging from the right shoulder carried in a curving fold across the body, seated to left on a globe, her right leg bare and thrust forward across the left. By her left side is an ornamented oval shield bearing the combined crosses of St. George and St. Andrew. In her raised right hand which is held up almost vertically she holds a spray of leaves. Her left hand, held down low enough it touches the shield, clasps a long spear, with its butt resting on a single exergue line, below which is the date. Legend inscription along sides. Toothed border just inside outside rim.
