A bishop's head, wearing a mitre, in profile facing to the right with a crosier before him which is tied with a bow of ribbon. Legend inscription at sides and top. (obverse)

Shield of arms, probably of the Associated Irish Miners (divided into three sections by a chevron - crossed spades above the chevron, three pickaxes on it and a horn suspended from a ribbon below it) , with a windlass crest above. Legend inscription all around. (reverse)
