Bowl with peonies in falangcai-style
The falangcai-style designs are exquisitely painted and formally arranged on a porcelain body of very pure paste and fine construction. The style is really a Kangxi court pattern. However, instead of the blue enamel reign mark used on porcelains completed at the Palace workshops, this bowl has an underglaze blue mark. Also instead of the expected Kangxi mark it has a four-character Yongzheng reign mark.
