Bowl with celadon glaze
This bowl is illustrative of some of the earliest celadons made at Yaozhou. It is thickly potted and is covered with a slip. It has a paler green glaze than later Northern Song and Jin dynasty examples. During the firing process grit has adhered to the footring from the sandy floor of the kiln.
