Room 95 label text: PDF 206 Jue with celadon glaze This high-fired cup is archaistic in two senses. Firstly it is modelled in the form of an ancient bronze ritual vessel made for heating wine called a jue. Furthermore it is covered in a Song-style celadon glaze. Sir Percival David acquired it on 12 May 1939 from Parke - Bernet auction. The lot number was 228.
