- Curator's comments
- According to Asano Shugo (2008), the seven prints OA+,0.65-71 and nine others by Kiyonobu share a similar format and design. However, Japanese shunga prints of this type were usually made in sets of twelve, so it is unlikely that all sixteen prints belonged to the same set. Instead they probably belonged to at least two different sets, although Asano was not sure how they should be subdivided.
