Sagebe; hanging jar, made of high-fired stoneware with natural ash glaze; circular body with one flattened and one spherical side which is decorated with concentric circles, a short neck spreading towards mouth and two hook-handles attached to shoulders.

These pieces have been photographed together to show the impressive range of Sue tomb pottery in both shape and decoration. They were all excavated by pioneer Western archaeologists and come from a wide range of sites in central Honshu and Shikoku.

提瓶: 偏平で円形の胴部と短い口頸部をもつ。肩の把手は鈎状。
提瓶の肩の取り付け部分が鈎状に変化している。6世紀後半と考えられる。(富山)
