Effigy figure (tau-tau) (eighteen pieces); carved of wood; in the form of human male; a) head: ridge around bottom of neck where head fits inside torso; separate lighter-coloured piece of wood inlaid for each eye, with separate dark-coloured wood inlaid for pupil; b) torso carved with genitalia: cavity carved in top where head is inserted; rectangular holes carved at shoulders where arms are attached; two round holes in bottom where legs are attached; rectangular hole carved in back for mounting; c) right upper arm: rectangular hole carved at shoulder to attach to torso; rectangular mortise cavity at elbow into which is inserted tenon joint from lower arm, with round holes for peg to hold arm in place; d) right lower arm: tenon carved at elbow with round hole carved through for attaching lower arm to upper arm; fingers curled into palms with gap between fingers and palm; e) peg: straight peg with round knob carved at end to attach right upper arm to shoulder; f) peg: straight peg with round knob carved at end to attach right lower arm to elbow; g) left upper arm; rectangular hole carved at shoulder to attach to torso; rectangular mortise cavity at elbow into which is inserted tenon joint from lower arm, with round holes for peg to hold arm in place; h) left lower arm: tenon carved at elbow with round hole carved through for attaching lower arm to upper arm; fingers extended out and separate; i) peg: straight peg with round knob carved at end to attach left upper arm to shoulder; j) peg: straight peg with round knob carved at end to attach left lower arm to elbow; k) right upper leg: round hole carved at thigh to attach to torso; rectangular mortise cavity at knee into which is inserted tenon joint from lower leg, with round holes for peg to hold leg in place; l) right lower leg: tenon carved at knee with round hole carved through for attaching lower leg to upper leg; m) peg: straight peg with round knob carved at end to attach right upper leg to torso; n) peg: straight peg with round knob carved at end to attach right lower leg to knee; o) left upper leg: round hole carved at thigh to attach to torso; rectangular mortise cavity at knee into which is inserted tenon joint from lower leg, with round holes for peg to hold leg in place; p) left lower leg: tenon carved at knee with round hole carved through for attaching lower leg to upper leg q) peg: straight peg with round knob carved at end to attach left upper leg to torso; r) peg: straight peg with round knob carved at end to attach left lower leg to knee.
