Skirt; part of woman's festival costume As.1998.1.92 to 97. In three bands: i) waistband of unbleached hemp or ramie, ties of folded-over cotton cloth; ii) ramie or hemp cloth, dyed mid blue, pleated at top with over-stitching in white; iii) decorated band, selvedges at hem, warp stripe patterns in blue and natural, pleats held in place by four draw-strings of bought cotton thread.
