Front apron; part of girl's festival costume As.1998.1.84 to 90. Hand-woven cotton base cloth dyed dark indigo, with selvedge on one side. Decorated on borders with rolled edges in dull reddish brown and blue. Within borders is 'tin' embroidery. The main design is built up of small squares, which form a hooked pattern on the diagonal. There are also twenty horizontal lines of 'tin' embroidery.
