Description
Back decoration; part of woman's festival costume As.1998.1.72 to 79, consisting of two rectangles on top of each other with a band which hangs around neck. Base cloth of unbleached cotton, with band in hand-woven coarse hemp. On rectangles is design of squares embroidered with cross stitch in maroon, orange and green. Squares include diagonal crosses and hook motifs. Band has black counted work with design of diamonds.
