Skirt; part of girl's festival costume As.1998.1.58 to 63. Pleated, constructed in three sections with waistband of unbleached cotton; a middle tier of indigo dyed cotton; and a bottom strip of indigo cotton with frill of unbleached calico on underside for extra weight. Decorated at bottom of middle section with back-stitched repeated images of animals or humans in white, set in a horizontal line. Embroidered diamond shapes.
