Skirt; part of girl's festival costume As.1998.1.46 to 53. Pleated with horizontal light stripes. Base cloth is dyed indigo with over-dying of chemical purple. Decorated with fine horizontal stripes made while weaving using white yarn in the warp. Horizontal light blue stripes made using white warp threads, then over-dyed. Silk tie bands are embroidered.
