Child's jacket; base cloth of hand-woven cotton dyed a dark colour. Decorated on collar and front facings with applied strips of hand-woven silk in reds and blues, with small pieces of embroidery on bottom left. Shoulders have two strips of embroidery and woven weft-faced silk. Back has central panel of woven decoration in three sections: i) centre design of supplementary weft patterns in blue, red and black silk on plain weave background of fine black and white ?cotton; ii) above are applied weft-faced silk strips with iii) similar strips applied below centre design. Outside woven decoration is background of tarnished green cloth on which narrow strips of bought blue cloth, embroidered with coloured spots, has been applied. Applied panel also at top of sleeves.
