Baby carrier; in T-shape with long band sewn above central rectangle and extending from both sides to form tie. Below is a rectangle of manufactured cotton cloth covered by decoration. Decorative applied panel extends from tie over central rectangle, with framing borders on two sides. Central area is embroidered with horizontal and vertical stitches in very fine silk, making a repeated geometric pattern in red, blue, orange, white and some green and brown. The surrounds are formed from applied strips of bought figured damask, treated to make green colour, and hand-woven weft-faced silk strips in red, green, and white.
