Short skirt; from girl's festival costume As.1998.1.269 to 277. Base cloth of loosely-woven cotton dyed dark indigo. Constructed of folded-over waistband and one layer of pleated cloth, turned up at bottom. Some hand-stitching holds pleats in place. With ties; skirt wraps around several times. No decoration.

- Curator's comments
- Corrigan notes that at time of purchase in 1990, visitors were not allowed into the Jianhe area. When Corrigan visited in September 1996 she noted that girls were wearing similar, but not identical costumes.
