Pair of gaiters; from married and unmarried woman's market day and festival costume As.1998.1.256 to 262. Base cloth of indigo-dyed cotton with sheen on outside. Constructed in tube of two pieces, widening at bottom. Decoration of lines of shine at top created by pleats which have been undone.
