Apron with bib; part of girl's festival costume As.1998.1.227 to 233 a & b. Base cloth on top of unbleached calico. Middle and lower parts bought cloth dyed black. Construction of 'V' shape in centre; top is a bib with cloth loops over shoulder, centre is waistband, bottom is square of cloth with one corner folded down and attached to waistband, with point at bottom. Bib covered with applied strips and embroidery. Embroidery on vertical strips either side and in centre in multicoloured geometric pattern; framed in strips of manufactured cloth in white, green, yellow and orange. Waistband is on pale pink cotton background with scrolls of green, gold and yellow braids. Infill of twisting white thread wrapped round a central core. Sequins.

- Original owner: La Pu (Miao name - Long La Pu is Chinese name). In 1997 was 45 years old. Made costume for 17 year old daughter. Purchased by Corrigan on 19 February 1997.
