Skirt; part of married woman's festival costume As.1998.1.223 to 226. Base cloth of white hand-spun and hand-woven hemp or ramie. Constructed in three parts: i) waistband with red ties of folded over printed cloth, with central loop of same cloth; ii) band of a woven width with pleating at top where set in waistband; iii) border of folded-over loom-width cloth.
