Apron; part of girl and woman's festival costume As.1998.1.192 to 195. Base cloth of hand-woven black and white cotton with white acrylic, constructed from two pieces of cloth joined at selvedges, with ties of white tape. Decoration at front centre of black and white stripes, with layers of applied cloth in red, green, pink and orange at bottom. Applied strips down sides and squares at top of wax resist in two tones of indigo in floral designs. Decorated on rear with applied check cloth.
