Jew's harp; made of bamboo; piece of bamboo, thicker at one end, tongue carved in middle; knob at one end with length of twisted fibre cord tied to it; opposite end wrapped in twisted fibre cord; half of harp carved with Xs.

- See Bista, Dor Bahadur. People of Nepal. Kathmandu: Ratna Pustak Bhandar, 1980, p. 36: "Young girls carry a small jew's harp on a tassel that hangs from their blouse near the left shoulder. These instruments are three inches long, made of bamboo. The girls play them while walking or during short breaks while working in the fields and in the evenings."
