Wall-hanging; made of beadwork; rectangle of glass beadwork sewn onto backing of red cotton; cotton loops along top and bottom edge of cotton for hanging; border on front of cotton above and below beadwork showing yellow and white embroidered flowers with pink and green leaves around blue wavy line; beadwork shows multicoloured elephants, horses, other animals, human figures and geometric patterns on white background.

- Curator's comments
- This is a 'patti' frieze that would hang on the wall of a Kathi landowner or Mahajan merchant's house. It would have been made as part of a dowry for a new bride. The beads would have been mainly Venetian from Murano. From information given by John Gillow 08/05/2008.
