Used for winnowing rice, also for cleaning vegetables and other food preparation. Ubir sap (see As1988,22.143) has been applied to the inside of the basket to proof it against anything slipping through, and to strengthen it. The bamboo is probably poran bamboo (bulu' poran).

Donated to the church at Pa' Dalih by Sinah Ellie, for an auction intended to raise money for work on a school electricity system. The rattan work was done Sinah Ellie's husband, Balang Darin, as it is unusual for women to do this.
