Embroidered jacket made of indigo dyed cotton cloth and glass buttons; applique panels of buff-coloured cotton cloth at front; glass buttons sewn around arm and neck openings, at centre of hem-line at back and on appliqued front panels; 2 brass toggles in place of two buttons at front. Running down the centre at back is a vertical line of decorative embroidery, geometric patterns worked in multi-coloured cotton thread. Piping of white cotton cloth and red wool cloth around all open edges. Button holes for fastening at front are made from thin strips of cotton ribbon (black, green and yellow) sewn flat to the surface in decorative horizontal lines which extend to form loops at the open edge.
