Framed painting on dhoti cotton depicting Rama's coronation. Blue-complexioned Rama sits in the lalitasana position on a low throne, with Sita seated on his left-hand side. A white chattra (parasol) is held above Rama's head. Rama appears to hold his left hand in vitarka mudra, while Sita holds a lotus in her right hand. Hanuman kneels before the throne and holds Rama's right foot in his hands. Rama's brothers stand behind him, including Bharata (blue complexioned) who holds a fan. In front of Rama stand his most important allies: one of the bears and Vibhishana. A row of individuals are painted underneath this main image, including Ravana.
