From the colour and weaving patterns, it should be from Atayal group. The chest cover in Atayal was usually worn by men in formal dress. (Professor Hu, 2007)
The patterns on the front are embossed and are all red. The technique is a varying plain weave with single warp and double wefts. The current key image shows the reverese side. (Yu Shan TSAI 2021)
