Register 1951:
Sandakan, British North Borneo.
Probably made by Borneo Malays.
"These were found under bushes by the river, by me. They are probably Brunei work, and believed to have been some spolis of the pirate Mat Salleh. There was no village nor inhabitants within many miles." Donor believes all to be of bronze-brass?
