- Register slip: 'Solor? Narrow straight-edged shield cut out of pale-coloured light wood; front painted red and black, having partial vandyked border fringed with red and white hair, and inlaid with white ovulum shell. Longitudinal handle at back carved from a separate piece of wood and fastened with cane; it has two loops or handles. A broad double loop of bast is also attached on the back. No history. Pres'd by A.W. Franks Esq. Sept. 2, 1871. (Hakbyl 1871).'
