- Curator's comments
- This gourd-shaped mizusashi (water-jar) has a wrap-around, detailed painting of a Chinese landscape. Houses, bridges and fishing vessels are clearly visible with distant figures. The lid has a design of a Chinese landscape with a bamboo knob. The interior of the lid was left unglazed. (N. C. Rousmaniere, 2015)
