Copper alloy image of Shiva, with Parvati seated in his lap; they are attended by their sons, Ganesha (proper right) and Karttikeya. They are seated on a double lotus-throne which is set on an elaborately stepped rectangular base with a kneeling devotee at the proper right corner. They are also attended by their appropriate vahanas, Nandi beneath the pendant foot of Shiva and the lion beneath the foot of Parvati. Shiva is depicted 4-armed though one hand is broken as also are the two hands of Parvati, perhaps actually cut off. The jata of Shiva is especially tall and fine. At the back are slots visible for the location of a backplate, now lost.
