Square teapot, with a flat-sided spout and angular handle, a domed cover with a small hexagonal loop on top. Made in porcelain painted in coloured enamels with a transfer-print of the Great Wall and presumably the mountain pass near Beijing called Juyongguan. Dramatic sweep of the Great Wall rises from the gate with a two-storey building on top and mountains in the distance. Two buses and a sedan chair are parked at the entrance. Pine trees at the lower right are a frame for the inscription above. Orange coloured lines around the neck, cover and across the top of the handle. Base square and glazed.
