Votive plaque (Ts'a-ts'a) Small, circular and flat votive plaque with a representation of the Buddha in half relief. He is shown seated on a lotus pad (padmasana) before a niche and is surrounded by small stupas. In addition to these, two times three raised dots are on both sides of the figure. This could be a reference to the three jewels (Buddha, Dharma, Sangha). Mould-made of coarse clay, unfired.

- The object was collected by Joseph Needham (1900-1995) during a trip to China in 1943. From the 30th September to 29th October 1943 Needham was forced to remain at Dunhuang for unknown reasons and used the time to explore the surrounding archaeological sites. This is when he found the object.
