- Curator's comments
- Takagaki made a special study of Chinese Song-dynasty celadons. From this he has developed a sophisticated technique that combines several types of celadon glaze in a single piece. Reduction firing allows the iron content of the body to peek through as red highlights in areas where the glaze is thin. (N C Rousmaniere, Sep. 2010)
