Description
Woodblock print, oban tate-e. Ichikawa Danjuro VIII as the villain Kamiya Iemon and Ichikawa Kodanji IV as Kobotoke Kohei (flap down) and Oiwa, the murdered wife of Iemon (flap up), in the celebrated ghost play (Yotsuya no kikigaki), produced at the Ichimura theatre in the ninth month of Kaei 1 (1848).
