Woodblock diptych print, oban tate-e. A scene from the kabuki play 'Kamakurayama sakura go-shozome'. The kabuki actor Matsumoto Kinsho as Tsubone Iwafuji (right) wielding a sword over her head attacking Onoe Kikugoro IV as the kneeling Churo Onoe (left) who holds out an open umbrella in self-defence.
