Album, 'The Hindoo Pantheon' by Etienne Alexander Rodriguez [nothing to do with the volume of the same name by Edward Moor]. Madras, 1841-45. Bound with it are 'The Sixty-four Tervelliadels at Madurai' and 'The Religion of Vishnoo'. Printed and illustrated with 147 hand-coloured lithographs.

- Curator's comments
- This album is of great interest in the story of transition from painted to printed imagery in southern India. The hand-coloured plates in this album are closely related in image-type to albums such as 1962,1231,0.12.1-99, 1962,1231,0.13.1-91, 1992,0410,0.1.1-70 and 1993,0806.1-82. However, the present album uses lithography for the otlining of the images, and the whole is accompanied by printed text.
