Description
Plate, made of coiled split bamboo decorated in the shwe zawa technique (gold laid on to a glossy black lacquer surface). At the centre is a portrait bust of M K 'Mahatma' Gandhi. Around the portrait bust is a fine inscription in Tamil, of Gandhian aphorisms.
