Lacquered, woven split bamboo betel box with two internal trays and decorated in the yun (incised) technique. The top of the cover shows a banner held by a figure, which reads 'We shall get home rule.' Just above the banner are also the Roman letters 'HO', probably the start of the English words, 'home rule.'

- Curator's comments
- The cover has the colour green, but the base does not. Additionally, the cover has finer work than the base, and the handwriting on the two differ. It is possible that the base is not original to the top and is a re-match.
