Betel-box made of woven and coiled split bamboo, and lacquer. There are two internal trays. All the interiors are decorated in plain red cinnabar lacquer. The exteriors of the lid, drum and both trays are decorated, in the yun technique, using the za-yun pattern, in yellow/pink on black lacquer. At the centre, also in yun, is a displaying peacock in red and green lacquer and an inscription. The base of the drum has decoration in red, green, yellow and black lacquer in the yun technique, and is also inscribed.
