Covered basket with handle. Made of wood, bamboo, thayo (lacquer putty), lacquer, and glass inlays. The imagery, produced in thayo, shows scenes from the life of the Buddha and the Buddha's relics. Sakka is shown on the top of the lid surrounded by four frames filled with two wizards and two kings. The sides of the basket show the division of the Buddha's relics by Dona the Brahmin. There is also a representation of a king and a naga (mythical serpent) king.
