Miniature betel box, made of woven and coiled split bamboo, lacquered in red and green, and decorated on the exterior and on the drum in the za-yun (chequer) pattern using the yun technique. Contains two internal trays, the uppermost now cracked on the base. Interiors all of plain red lacquer, with evidence of use (deposit in bottom of drum).
