Framed image of Saraswati wearing traditional Burmese dress and seated on her animal mount holding a manuscript on a stand on her left hand and flowers in her right. An umbrella symbolises her importance. Painted on the reverse side of the glass with paper foils glued to the glass to provide additional colour. The outline appears to be printed, while the colours are probably applied by hand. Reverse printed (perhaps with a stencil) and painted. Inscribed.
